I wrote my first crime manuscript when i was 12 years old.

Mike Dickson lives in Minnesota with his wife and three children. His journey as a writer began at the age of 12 when he handwrote his first crime manuscript, "Neighbors," about an Asian mafia family. The manuscript was eighty pages long, with three characters meeting their fate on the first page. He still has it today!

During his teens and twenties, Mike's writing took a backseat. However, in 2008, after reading his first John Grisham novel, he thought, "I can do better." Sixteen years later, he is still striving to achieve that goal, having learned a lot along the way.

Mike has always had a passion for true crime. In 2012, he channeled this passion into creating AmericanMafiaHistory.com, where he writes biographies of past members of the American mafia. At its peak, his website ranked #1 on Google worldwide—an achievement he is incredibly proud of. He continues to add new biographies every couple of weeks.

His fascination with the American mafia and love for writing fiction led him to create his own fictional crime family. Today, in 2024, Mike has developed the Marcuccio crime family, a fully fleshed-out South Philadelphia crime syndicate historically tied to the real American mafia. This family, along with the protagonist Michael Donatello, is at the heart of the Code series. His debut novel in this series is coming soon, and he is eager to share it with the world.
